Anite who has been at the forefront of Igara West MP Raphael Magyezi’s age limit bill was received with honours befitting a queen in West Nile.
She chose to celebrate independence in Koboko with her constituents. She has been rallying them over time to support the lifting of the presidential age limit so Museveni rules forever.
There were even reports that people had disowned her and chased her from West Nile, not according to the pictures taken of her on Monday.
Donning a yellow dress, Anite is being carried shoulder-high by people wearing white age limit t-shirts.
She is seen waving and smiling, while seated in an arm chair like the Queen of England.
Joined by students of St Charles Lwanga, a group of youth marched across town to show support for the Opposition politicians who are against lifting of age limit.
But Anite carried the huge crowd comprised of youth and elders who carried placards also marched to Nyagilia primary school ground where the independence was celebrated.
Not long ago, Anite assured her haters that she was busy recording whoever sends her death threatening messages.
In her September 28 statement, Anite writes: “People threatening to kill me keep those inbox messages coming in, am gladly taking each and every screenshot.”
Anite said haters had sent her even phone texts telling her she would die the same way former police spokesperson, AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi, was killed.
