Are We Slowly Moving Towards A Total Lockdown

It looks like we are slowly moving towards a total lockdown of the country. After the president’s speech yesterday, most of the things surely caught us by surprise. No one predicted anything to be closed to 42 days. We were used to the normal 14 to 21 days.

With schools, churches, mosques closed, we are kind of half way down the route to total lockdown. Obviously this is very scary.

Transport is surviving at the mercies of God because they are now limited to only within their districts. The president clearly said if they failed to follow this trend, he will suspend them as well. As we currently speak, most of the people are very much afraid of even moving because the virus is everywhere. This is why the president advised that offices should encourage their workers to operate from home. Last year was the same that almost everyone ended up doing nothing.

Does this mean we are wasting another year doing nothing? Probably, we have had enough time to know that we should change how we run our businesses. The most convenient thing to do currently is to embrace the online platform because it looks like it’s our mediator now.

This is not just for business, even all other sectors most especially education. Students just can’t waste another year sitting around home. Not only is it affecting the trend of education but also the number of students in the school is dropping. Otherwise, it looks like we are heading to a total lockdown just as before.
