Azawi Speaks About Working With African Giant Burna Boy

Swangz Avenue artiste Azawi real name Zawedde Priscilla has spoken about taking the Ugandan music industry to the next level. She said she is dreaming of working with Burna Boy at one point in her career if given an opportunity.

Azawi officially joined the music industry in 2019 under the management of Swangz Avenue. Before that, she was into writing and at the same time dancing to traditional songs.

She wasn’t known anywhere in the media despite her extraordinary talent. She said she had tried but she didn’t have the finances to keep pushing her career forward.

For the years she has been signed under Swangz Avenue, Azawi has released some of thee number one songs in the country. The singer has worked with different artists both in Uganda and outside.

According to her, she wants to take Uganda’s music industry to the next level. She revealed that Ugandans are talented but their music doesn’t cross borders.

The singer also said with her talent, if she gets an opportunity to work with Burna Boy it will be a dream come true. She said the opportunity will open doors for so many Ugandans.

“I wish to work with Burna Boy at some point. And I am talented. I know with that opportunity, my dream will come true and doors will be open for Ugandan music industry to go places,” she said.
