Azawi became famous in 2019 after Swangz Avenue signed her up. Her first song to be released under the record label became a hit and kick started her career.
Unfortunately, after her one hit song, Uganda went into a lockdown because of Covid-19 and she couldn’t move forward with releasing music.
Azawi used the opportunity to write and do more music. After Covid-19, she released an album that ushered her into her first ever concert.
It was at Lugogo Cricket Oval and it was a huge success. This is despite her being in the music industry for such a short time.
After the album and concert, Azawi slowed down in releasing music. In fact, she took off some time without appearing anywhere in public. That is when the rumor about her pregnancy started making rounds all over social media.
However, she is back from the break and clearing the air about all the false rumors. According to the ‘Bamututte Daa’ hitmaker, having a child especially as an artiste is a very big decision.
It needs commitment and time off from performing and releasing music. At her age, she is not ready to make that commitment and adjustments.
“I am not pregnant and I am not ready to take that step. I am focusing on music and giving my fans the best. The baby will come later when I am ready and well prepared,” Azawi said.
