Naava Grey Gives Advice To Artistes On How To Last Their Careers

Be Original And Consistent, Naava Grey To Upcoming Artistes

Sensational city vocalist, Naava Grey, has advised upcoming artistes to be original and consistent. She says it may not be easy at the start but it pays off in the end.

However, when a young musician jumps on the train of other artistes, they get lost in their identity. The musician was talking about the significance of Hipipo awards in the music industry.

“My advice to upcoming musicians is to be original. We have a lot of musicians who are taking up genres or styles done by others. Be original and consistent. it may take time but your voice will eventually be heard.”

The song bird surely knows what she is talking about. When she had just started her music career, her style seemed so strange to most Ugandans were not warming up to it.

However, this didn’t move her in any way because she stayed on track. With time, people started appreciating her kind of style and music which really built her fan base.

By the time Naava came, people had less regard for good vocalists but she changed this mindset. She not only came with good vocals but also with a unique style.

Meanwhile, the Hipipo awards are soon happening and this they say is to appreciate the efforts of musicians.

“Music awards are held to appreciate musicians, recognise talent and to introduce new talent. Consistency is key in the music awards sector as some ceremonies have existed for decades,” Nicholas Kalungi of HIPIPO said.
