The singer used to be a member of the ruling party National Resistance Movement (NRM). However, during the 2021 general elections, things didn’t go well on his side.
People stopped supporting him musically as they threw bottles at him live on stage. At the same time, the political party he was supporting also didn’t help him in any way.
The singer pleaded with fans to stop harassing him while he was performing but all that was in vain.
However, early this year, the singer decided to rejoin the opposition political party led by his fellow musician Bobi Wine. From then, fans started supporting him again slowly by slowly.
Last week when NUP members were opening new offices, Bobi Wine publically welcomed Big Eye to the party. He said it was his dream come true and fans also started posting him all over social media and praising him for his music.
In a recent interview, the singer said he has never felt loved in the music industry like the way he felt after Bobi Wine welcomed him. He said he is now the most booked musician in Uganda which has never happened in his whole career.
“I am the most booked musician in Uganda at the moment. I can’t thank enough my new family NUP and all my fans that have been supporting me from day one up to this day,” he said.
