This followed an incident at Jahazi Pier in Munyonyo where he was pelted with bottles.
The Booked singer during his performance on the Galaxy FM Zzina Fest saw bottles rain upon him. He started pleading with the people to let him sing and know that the politics phase ended.
This however fell on deaf ears. While appearing on Sanyuka TV, Big Eye revealed that this makes him feel sad. This is because he’s also a Ugandan who has a right to support whichever political side he wants.
“I want to tell these people that politics ended. They should not, therefore, bring it to music concerts because we go there to have a good time. It saddens me that they have to treat me like as if I’m not a Ugandan. That’s not how the democracy they want runs, I’m a Ugandan who has a right to my own political affiliations,” a sad Big Eye said.
This was the third time Big Eye got pelted with bottles while performing. All of Big Eye’s woes originate from identifying with the ruling NRM government which the majority of youths in towns who are party revelers oppose.
The singer also took time to talk about his upcoming BigEyeFest which he said will be one of the biggest concerts. According to Big Eye, this will be about celebrating Uganda’s music dance and drama.
He further said that he will be revealing the dates soon and his fans will surely come in plenty to support him.
