Bobi Wine went on and congratulated Irene Namatovu who was the best artist in African tradition and Sandra Nankoma as the best Female Artist, African Inspirational Music.

Therefore, this shown how the “Kyarenga” hit singer was good and un-jealous to him this time. Bobi Wine further more spared sometime and mourned to the victims especially the last king for loosing his life at such an early age.

Among the boats that helped to rescue these victims included Bobi Wine’s nice boats, which were so helpful in that field. Indeed it made many of his fans more proud and happy.

“The news coming from home is very sad. I still cannot believe that we lost so many young people on that boat. My heart is heavy. I lost several personal friends in the accident and it is extremely painful. We continue to pray for the families of all who lost loved ones, and for a quick recovery to those who are nursing injuries. Last night when we learnt of the tragedy, I requested my team at One Love Beach to dispatch our boats to help out with the rescue mission, and recovery of bodies. I also encourage all of us to use all our abilities to help the victims of this tragedy. We must always be united in grief as we do in times of joy. Kitalo nnyo dala! As I leave Ghana for home, I am very pleased that Uganda performed exceptionally well at Afrima 2018 where I was invited as a panelist and special guest. I congratulate fellow Ugandan artistes who won awards- Irene Namatovu (Best artist in African Traditional), Bebe Cool (Best Male, East Africa) and Sandra Nankoma (Best Female Artist, African Inspirational Music). Thank you for raising our flag high. I was also honored to hand over the Afrima honorary Legendary Award to the Legendary Ghanaian band, Osibisa for their immense contribution to music in Africa and the world. May the souls of our departed countrymen and countrywomen rest in eternal peace.”
