BUL FC Seek Another Win Over UPDF To Extend Perfect Season Start

BUL FC Facing Brick Wall Against UPDF At Bombo Barracks

Sitting at the top of the table, BUL FC is now aiming at opening a six-point lead in the Uganda Premier League. They hope to do this today while visiting Bombo Barracks to face UPDF FC.

The makers of edible oil are enjoying a fairytale start to the new season after milking maximum points out of their first six outings. They are now eager to extend their winning record.

The team’s assistant coach James Magala has admitted to the pressure of maintaining the top position increasing. However, he assures that the players are making the necessary preparations to face the challenges ahead of them.

“Success comes with a lot of challenges but we’re preparing the boys. This is both physically and tactically. This is also meant to be able to manage different game situations that may arise,” Magala said.

BUL FC have faced major challenges in their last three trips to the Barracks, failing to win any of those three trips. UPDF has endured a tough start to the season, losing all three opening games without scoring a single goal.

However, they came back and pulled a 1-1 draw against Express and a 2-0 victory against Busoga last week in a jerk.

Coach Pius Ngabo is hoping to score an early goal aimed at destabilizing BUL to give UPDF the upper hand early.

“We were creating chances but struggling to convert them, resulting in losses. However, when we started scoring, the results improved. We’re in good form, and we will push for an early goal,” he stated.

In other clashes, SC Villa will return to Wankulukuku today after they missed out last week. This came as a result of an investigation by FUFA into hooliganism involving their derby rivals Express.
