Banina became famous after his song with his twin brother known as ‘I do’ went viral. By then, they were both still in France and that is where they shot the video. People were surprised to see a song go viral yet the artists are not known.
The two brothers Joe and Chris Banina found time to come back to Uganda to promote their brand and other songs. Their fans enjoyed their music but they didn’t know their story.
In a recent interview, Chris Banina narratted how he grew up and found himself in France living better.
According to the singer, he didn’t grow up as an easy child. He said he had issues with his parents and one day he stormed out of home promising not to return.
He went and started staying on Kampala streets not until he found a friend who offered him a job to work as his driver and houseboy.
The singer said ever since then, he has never turned back as he was very tired of life and had learnt so much in life not to mess up again.
“I fell out with my parents and ended up on the street. Luckily enough, a kind man offered me shelter on condition that I would be in charge of his house duties. That’s how I became a houseboy. This man helped me to go to France and I am thankful for that,”
