Cindy Defends UMA Online Voting As King Saha Cries Out

Attention has shifted to the online mode of voting that Uganda Musicians Association intends to use to vote for its leaders. King Saha is opposing it, however, Cindy has now defended it.

Cindy says that the major reason for this type of voting is to keep the friendship between the different singers.

She further says that aside from the elections, most musicians are friends. Therefore a physical election will disunite the industry more than it is now.

“To be honest, online voting is the best for now because it will keep the differences away from us. Most of us singers are buddies, however, we are now on opposite sides. Therefore, if I see someone voting for my opponent, how will they come tomorrow and ask me for a collabo or how shall we easily get along. But a virtual election will protect the voters and it’s the sole goal,” she said.

Cindy also revealed that she’s been able to deal with the different opinionated musicians in the industry.

According to the former Blu 3 singer, it’s her profile that has helped her manage UMA.

She has a somehow respectable profile and therefore many artists think about that before they attack her.

Cindy further said that she’s always been a straight person when it comes to finances. And also, she’s a fearless person and can’t easily be intimidated.

The singer further said that UMA’s biggest challenge is getting artists who are passionate about other artists. Besides UMA’s biggest role is to lobby for them and not to bury them.
