However, it undoubtedly failed to cement it’s self as a regular on the music scene.
The group now has just two original members and one new face. Speaking in a local TV interview, the girls said that they had gone silent because of COVID-19. And while there, they found other things which actually were better paying than music.
Even after COVID-19, they decided to first pursue them before returning musically. However they are now back and will be hoping to stop where they left.
When they asked why the group is still financed by their boss despite seeming not to make any huge profits such as concerts, the girls said that their boss loves the project.
Furthermore, they also revealed that they usually hold reunions for their former members. And these are always attended by over 100 girls who all went through the group. It’s however those who left the group on good terms and don’t hold grudges that attend.
On how they are treated by their superiors, the girls said that everyone is treated according to how they behave.
“We are finally back after the long turbulent COVID-19 period which affected most musicians. We ventured into different projects during that time and actually found them to be well paying than music. However, we are now back and looking forward to starting from where we stopped. Some of our members left but we are still standing just the three of us.”
“We shall be holding reunions in the future as we always do. These usually attract other former members who have gone through the group and hold no grudges. The reason why we have spent long together is because of discipline. Most members and other girl groups collapse because of indiscipline,” said the City Rock Entertainment girls.
This group has been in existence for over a decade. It seems however more emphasis was put on performing live music in hangout places than studio hits. City Rock Entertainment is probably still the only girl group standing.
Groups such as The Obsessions, Bluffing, I-Jay, Dream Girls, Chilli Gals, HB Toxic, Blu3 have all come and gone. This can also be attributed to eras as the early 2000s was an all-group thing.
