Crysto Panda has released a new song titled “Osilike‘, which means You keep quiet. Osilike is a word that has been and still trending on social media, especially twitter. It immediately replaced the phrase Olemwa, which means you fail.
You can not spend 30 seconds on social media without reading Osilike somewhere. This only means that this word is now the in-thing and if properly used by a musician, they can actually make some good money.
Crysto Panda is one of the few artists who always makes songs out of trending words on the street. Before him was MUN-G who has been really quiet for sometime.
As usual though, people have criticized his lyrics saying they are not that entertaining. Secondly the groove in the song sounds like so many other songs which means it lacks authenticity in one way or the other.
Will the song make it?
People have been asking for a song out of Osilike from either Panda or Mun G. Right now though, fans sound disappointed by what is there so far.
This song only has an audio out for the mean time. The video might make people ignore what they call poor lyrics and concentrate on the good video.
Lyrics in Uganda don’t look like a big deal especially when it comes to dance hall artists. Most times all they care about is the beat.
For as long as the beat can make fans dance, lyrics are negligible. However, fans have become more sensitive to lyrics in recent times. This means artists have to up their game.
