Date For The Latest iPhone Debut Is Finally Set

Apple has finally set a date for its long-awaited iPhone 12 as it is rumored to be called. The device will be unveiled on October 13 at 10 a.m. prime time. The unveiling ceremony will happen online like all other Apple events. It will also be streamed live on the company’s official website.

Analysts say Apple’s fall product this year is expected to touch off a wave of upgrade purchases. Fans worldwide are eyeing the iPhone’s rumored new 5G capabilities and a boxier look similar to the iPad pro. Almost 53% of respondents plan to buy this year’s phone according to a survey carried out by a certain electronics reseller.

New technology in the phone world emerged with phones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Microsoft Surface Duo. The surface Duo has two screens sandwiched together, but it looks like people will gravitate towards what they know best.

The new iPhone will draw the lion’s share of attention even if it only offers a few new bells and whistles.

The prices are largely rumored to be the same as the iPhone 11 series but rumors that Apple may offer an iPhone 12 Mini. This Mini iPhone 12 is possibly a reaction to customers saying the iPhone prices are increasingly not pocket-friendly.

Apple is likely to ship out over 50 million 5G iPhones in a short while. This will make it the second biggest 5G vendor in 2020. And that would be in less than 3 months of sales.

Strategy Analysis said Apple is expected to be the world’s biggest 5G phone vendor next year.
