Uganda’s entertainment industry is one of the sectors that generate a lot of revenue for the government.
Unfortunately, it is not cared for or even thought about in Parliament yet they always want something from the same sector.
Like David Lutalo who has been in the music industry for so long. He said he has been through everything the good and bad. But one of the things that shake the music industry is the lack of enough funds.
Recording songs is very expensive and shooting videos is even more expensive. A few musicians can afford it yet there are so many young talented musicians who are unable to afford anything.
According to the singer, it would be so much better if there were business-rich people investing in the industry with the help of the government too.
“I call upon government and other stakeholders to invest in the music industry. I know so many people don’t believe in it but I can assure you that once there is some investment, there is also good money collected from it,” David Lutalo said
It should be noted that the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa has shown interest in supporting the music industry.
However, there are some people attacking him and asking him to keep in his position and not mind much about the music industry.
