Most likely about his retirement and dissatisfaction plus how parliament plans to appreciate him.
Last month, Onyango came out and announced his retirement amid all the chaos in FUFA regarding their president.
“After lengthy consideration, I have come to the decision of retiring from international football with immediate effect. It is a sad day in my life knowing that I will never wear the jersey of my beloved Cranes in front of passionate fans again. I will now become the number one supporter who wears the jersey watching from the stands or from home. It is through the Ugandan national team that I have grown from a boy into the man and father that I am now,” he said.
However, when Onyango was contacted, he refused to say anything about the meeting; “Sorry, I have no comment (on that)”, he said.
Since it is uncertain about the issues that will be discussed, we cannot speculate. In 2019, the president pledged to give the cranes shs3.7 billion for their great performance in AFCON.
Up until now, not even a coin has been seen. If only Onyango can use this opportunity to remind the president of that, it would do the team great.
Meanwhile, many people say the conduct of the FUFA president, Magogo should be checked after this meeting too. There is no doubt that the cranes are not happy under his leadership and something should be done.
