Douglas Lwanga On Why He Is Always Neutral During Celebrity Drama

Media personality and Purple Party CEO Douglas Lwanga has revealed why he is always neutral when it comes to celebrity drama. He said first of all most of these celebrities especially artistes that don’t like each other are his close friends.

He said the differences between them are not his concern. At the same time, he is a journalist and he has to follow the ethics that allow him to be neutral to both parties.

Douglas said that not taking sides in the industry helped him get where he is at the moment. It started with the beef between Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine, which he handled very well.

The NBS television presenter said Bebe Cool was his friend but he could take his side as he had to also cover that of Bobi Wine and the firebase crew.

According to the talented show host, it is not the work of a journalist to place an opinion and even take sides while covering a story.

He said people need to be professional. That involves being respectful and doing your job the way you are supposed to do it.

“I know people are always calling me out saying I am neutral when it comes to celebrity drama. I want people to understand that it is not the job of a journalist to take sides when covering a story. It is better to stay on the fence of both sides to get the full story,” he said.
