Douglas Lwanga Reveals Most Significant 2023 Development In Music Industry

Media personality and CEO Purple Party Douglas Lwanga has revealed the most significant development in the music industry this year 2023.

He said Eddy Kenzo’s Federation is the talk of the town and it has done a lot for artists and other talents like music producers, and dancers.

The Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) was formed in May 2023. It was started by Eddy Kenzo who is the president and Sheebah who is among the deputies.

It faced so much criticism and hatred from musicians saying the founders are just trying to have an opportunity to deal with the government and get personal money.

Kenzo didn’t listen to most of the haters, he continued to pursue his duties as the president and leading artistes at the same time.

However, according to Douglas, Ugandan musicians and celebrities at large are hard to deal with. Furthermore, someone with a very soft heart can give up in a short time.

He also said with Eddy Kenzo as the president, there has been an active talk about the copyright law. This has been a problem for a long time.

“The establishment of the Federation is the most significant development of the year in the music industry. We all know how hard it is to deal with musicians and other people. Having a Federation that has kind of let artists together is a very big thing,” he said.
