He has worked in three different media houses. He started with Records TV, then went on to NTV Uganda and now he works with NBS television.
The presenter has been asked numerous times when he thinks he can retire. This is because he has worked for so long and now needs to give young people an opportunity.
In a recent interview, the talented TV show host answered this question. He said no one has the time frame of leaving the media industry and neither does he.
According to him, retiring is not a problem. The most important thing to him is to explore avenues for personal growth and transformation.
At the moment, there are so many young people who are studying journalism at the University. However, there are no jobs, especially in the media for these people to do.
The people who have been in the media industry for long, like Douglas Lwanga are not willing to hang their boots.
“There is no fixed timeframe for departing from the media industry; however, as an individual, it is essential to explore avenues for personal growth and transformation,” he said.
It should be noted that people who work with Douglas Lwanga themselves like MC Kats have also been in the media industry for so long. They all don’t like discussing leaving the media because they are not ready to do so.
