She said doctors should always ensure they have Personal Protective Equipment before touching any patient.
“Dear Health Workers, first of all, thank you for the great selfless work that you are doing in order to save lives. As you carry out your work in the #EbolaOutbreakUG, please protect yourself by appropriately wearing your PPE. Your health and life is equally precious,” Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng wrote.
This however comes at a time when some doctors complained about inadequate PPE in hospitals. Most of them say they have had to get this equipment themselves which has made vigilance against this virus very difficult.
In fact some doctors even attempted to put their tools down because apparently the Ministry of Health was failing to play their part in protecting them yet they too are dying.
Meanwhile, up until now there are some Ugandans who believe there is no Ebola. According to them MOH just wants some money to spend.
“Fool those who are foolish, there is no Ebola, in the country, your boss is just stranded and he thinks will be relieved when central is under total lockdown. But stop killing innocent people to maximize the numbers,” a one Kimbugwe Medi commented on Twitter.
However, regardless of all the propaganda, MOH is still calling for people to be more careful not to catch this Virus.
