The show attracted the likes of Eddy Kenzo, Kabako, Nina Roz, Ray G, Mathias Walukagga, among other musicians.
After their performances in Mutukula, and while on their way back, Police intercepted the Ugandan stars and detained them. They then forced them to take a mandatory Covid-19 test, for which they had to pay Shs 90,000 each.
After his detention, Eddy Kenzo’s test turned out to be negative so he got released and traveled back to Kampala.
The local musicians are desperate for shows as they await a nationwide re-opening of the nightlife next year.
Meanwhile, In other news by NEWSLEXPOINT.com, a section of Ugandan artistes and events promoters defied the COVID 19 Presidential guidelines of no concerts as they staged a massive Christmas concert. Events promoter Abbey Musinguzi of Abitex Promotions organized the concert in Mutukula.
Mutukula which lies between Uganda and Tanzania is almost a no man’s land and Uganda has no jurisdiction there.
