Eddy Kenzo Denies Having Personal Beef With Bobi Wine

Singer and controversial president of Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) Eddy Kenzo has denied having a personal beef with National Unity Platform (NUP) president Bobi Wine.

He said all the statements he makes are connected to the whole music fraternity not himself alone.

Eddy Kenzo and Bobi Wine were friends for many years. From the time before Kenzo became famous, he used to idolize Bobi Wine.

The conflicts started when Kenzo decided to support President Museveni in the 2021 general elections. It escalated when Kenzo soon created a musicians federation and installed himself as president.

This new-found federation now gave him a platform to openly diss Bobi Wine. Knowing Bobi Wine doesn’t support president Museveni, Kenzo decided to go meet him to discuss musicians issues.

Although the two are always throwing jabs at each other on social media, the singer revealed that nothing is personal.

The Grammy nominee said fans are the ones always pushing for the beef between him and Bobi Wine. He says his comments about the music industry are neutral.

“Me and Bobi Wine have no personal issues but people want us to have issues. I am not his enemy when I comment about issues, I am only giving my opinion,” he said.

It should be noted that Kenzo has on several occasions clashed with Bobi Wine on several topics. He at one time called himself Bobi Wine’s president, this is because he is the president of musicians in Uganda and Bobi is a musician.
