The singer said it wasn’t his problem but he is willing to do whatever he can to help the owners of the property that was destroyed.
According to Kenzo, he reached Arua in time ready to perform. He said the promoter hadn’t paid fully the amount he had agreed on before the performance.
He was later informed that the promoter had been taken into custody and the balance wasn’t going to be paid to him in time as they had agreed.
The UNMF President revealed that before he even got on stage, supporters had started destroying some of the property. For safety reasons, he decided not to completely go on stage.
The talented singer also apologized to fans saying that it wasn’t his problem but he is willing to solve everything and move forward like he should be doing.
“I will go back, I have to compensate the people of Arua with everything I can. It wasn’t my fault but I understand where all this came from and I take responsibility for my part,” he said.
It should be noted that Eddy Kenzo has been in the industry for so long. He currently heads the Uganda National Musicians Federation(UNMF) and also serves as the presidential advisor on creatives. It is therefore prudent for him to keep a clean record.
