Evelyn Lagu Pleads With Promoters To Organize Her Concert Before She Dies

Sickly and struggling singer and actress Evelyn Lagu has pleaded with Ugandan promoters to organize for her a concert before she dies. She said it is her dream to sing country wide starting with Kampala and other districts will follow.

Before the singer got sick, she was on top of her career. She was making money and looking after her family. However, after the sickness, she lost her home trying to get money for treatment.

Her fans and well wishers bought her land and built for her a house again far away from Kampala. That is where is currently living.

She has been in and out of hospital for a while. This is even harder because she is her family’s bread winner. If she doesn’t work, that means she will have to beg to get food.

For the few times she has felt better, Evelyn Lagu has tried to go on different stages to perform in order to get what to put in her stomach.

Now that she is currently feeling much better, she has called upon promoters to organize her concert. She said it is her dream and she wants someone to make it happen.

She said she knows she can do more concerts but she would like to first have one in Kampala and then others follow.

“Lord, this is ma dream please make it come true! Kwata ku promoter yenna ankolereyo show ndabe. Kubanjagala ngabaliwamu ngandimulamu! Njagala nikole nyinji naye okusooka wano e Kampala wempangalira, e Mityana jenakulira, e Masaka jenzaalwa. Olwo ntalage ewasoboka mukama nkusabye manyi okikoze! Tag any big promoter Manyi baganda bange abayimbi bajjakumbereramu nga bulijjo Amiina!,” she posted.
