Singer Evelyn Lagu Still In Need Of More Money To Fund Her Medical Bills

Local musician Evelyn Nakabira aka Evelyn Lagu has revealed how she’s still in need of money to finance her kidney transplant scheduled to take place in India.

The “Ogumanga” Hit maker who has been ill for a while due to kidney failure revealed that she has so far collected 130 million Ugx and only needs 120 million shillings to get the 250 million UgX for her transplant to take place.

Evelyn Lagu has been able to collect to the available money through fundraising, a concert and car wash where many musicians turned up to show their support and even contributed to the medical bill.

Now she has revealed that she and her team are preparing a corporate dinner at Bukandula Hotel on May, 8th to try and raise more money.

“I currently need Shs120 million to top up and reach the target of Shs250M so that the transplant can take place. We have a corporate dinner and we hope to raise more money,” the singer noted.

She went ahead to commend Ugandans for their selflessness towards supporting her financially and materialistically and requested others to contribute whatever little they have to hit her target and get treatment.

Lagu who also doubles as an actress suffered a kidney disease and had gotten hope when her son decided to donate one of his kidneys to her but his father blocked him since he’s not on good terms with the singer.

Recently, ex-husband to Evelyn Mr Lagu spoke out that his son won’t donate his kidney. These two had a son in their marriage but apparently, the father wasn’t that caring about both of them.

Just recently, Evelyn told her ex that they actually had a son together. Unfortunately, Mr Lagu is bent on refusing the son from donating his kidney to the mum.
