Mondo said that even these pastors pull off stunts to stay relevant in the public eye.
This follows the ongoing row between pastors and gospel musicians. Mondo went ahead to advise these singers to form their own associations and stop relying on pastors.
“I want to put this on record, even men of God make stunts, whenever they see a fallback, they make stunts. So we should pay attention to these pastors. I however urge these gospel artistes to register their own associations. They should stop relying on pastors and start to think outside the box,” Pastor Mondo said.
Mondo added that serving God is free but the time and resources put in should not be free. Furthermore, Mondo said that he thanks God for giving these artistes an opportunity to uplift themselves from poverty.
Mondo however also urged these gospel singers to shun Bishop Kiganda’s opinions. He said that Kiganda doesn’t represent all the pastors and therefore they should wait and see the other pastor’s positions.
Bishop Kiganda recently came out saying that gospel singers deserve no pay for their music. He added that these are always doing God’s work with a talent he blessed them with.
This rubbed many gospel singers the wrong way and are up in arms to claim what’s rightfully theirs.
