Earlier last week, news surfaced of how the Capital FM presenter had quit the Serena hotel-based station. It was rumored that Flavia had decided to quit after her bosses bounced her request for a salary increment. She retaliated this by handing in a resignation letter and now we can reliably confirm that she’s an ex-NTV presenter.
Flavia who joined NTV in 2015 thanked all those that were pivotal in her TV role as a news anchor right from management to the viewers.
“In 2015, I was given an opportunity to join the newsroom at NTV as an anchor and that challenge was accepted with fear and grace. Thank you for the training and the platform that has rebranded me and helped my career adjust to a new vision I have since set for myself.” Flavia wrote on her official Facebook page.
The multi-talented presenter rose to prominence in the early 2000’s doing a teens show on WBS TV. She has gone on to cement herself as one of the most successful media personalities Uganda.
However, Flavia went on to assure her fans that this was not an exit from the TV business. Rather it is an exploration of new opportunities.
We note that in the wake of her resignation, news of how NBS approached her was rife. This has been a common phenomenon of NBS poaching NTV staff and recruiting them to their station.
We shall keep you updated with the next destination of this eloquent presenter in her next TV roles.
