She says this is a conviction they received as a family while they were in Nairobi hospital.
“While in hospital in Nairobi and while we were praying, one of the things we were convicted about was to seek forgiveness on his behalf. To ask God to forgive him for everything he did either knowingly or unknowingly. We seek forgiveness so that he is on a clean slate,” Cynthia Tumwine.
“I also wanted not to only do it with God but also do it here that in case dad wronged you in any way, please forgive him. If you also wronged him, he forgave you. He talked about forgiveness every time,” he added.
She thanked her dad for his brave character. Cynthia says Tumwiine has been a good father too and not to forget funny. In fact, there have been a number of videos of his that have gone viral because of his dance moves.
“He was so humorous and would try to catch up with trends even of our age. He was just so funny,” the tearful daughter told mourners.
Besigye advises Ugandans on Tumwine’s death
NEWSLEXPOINT.com reported that Dr Kizza Besigye, the leader of the People’s Front For Transition movement, urged Ugandans to leave the judgment of the dead to God.
He said this because of the way Ugandans have been talking about the late general, Elly Tumwiine. According to him, no one has the right to judge Tumwiine whatsoever because that is only for God to do.
