Ghana Appoints Abedi Pele To Manage Football After Corruption Scandal

Former Ghanaian football star and captain of the National team, Abedi Pele has been appointed to help manage football in Ghana as a way of fighting corruption which the government observed within the Sports governing body, according to Vanguard ng.

Abedi Pele who was once an African footballer of the year more that twice played most of his professional football in Europe, was appointed in a 5 member interim committee to help run the sport.

Pele was finally named to head the Association!

According to a government statement, other members include the president of Ghana League Clubs Association, Mr Fianoo Cudjoe, Kofi Osei who played for Ghana in 1960s who’s now a minister in church and the businessman Kofi Amoah.

Ghana’s High Court on Tuesday granted a petition from the Attorney General by the names of Akuffo Gloria to suspend Ghana Football Association ( GFA) and it’s executives.

Following the recent documentary were the head of Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi was accused of asking for $1.1 million from  Journalists, calling themselves investors who are trying to secure government contracts.
