Grace Khan’s Father To Be Laid To Rest On Thursday

Former Da Nu Eagles singer, Grace Khan, is gutted by the sudden death of her beloved father. the singer’s father breathed his last yesterday Tuesday 10th January 2023.

According to Ms Khan, her father Michael Njangala, has been sick for some time and he couldn’t make it. Through her Facebook page, the singer revealed the devastating news.

“Dear Friends, my Real Dad has just passed on now! He has been sick! Mukama yakamujjulula Kati !! Wummula milembe Dad @Mr Njagala Micheal!! 😭Naye emyaka jino Nedda,” Grace Khan posted.

The singer announced her father’s funeral arrangement, saying he will be laid to rest on Thursday at 2:00 pm at his ancestral home in Kyanamukaka in Masaka.

“Rest well my Biological Dad Taata Webale kundaga nsi eno !! 😭 Tuziika Buwunde ‘Kyanamukaaka from masaka to kabonela then bukunda town then kyanamukaakaaka ku lwokuna (Thursday 2:00pm)”Grace Khan posted.

This sad news comes just a few months after the singer lost her grandmother who has been acting as her mother for most of her life. She said her mother died when she was still in high school. She was left with other two siblings in the hands of their father and grandmother. At the moment, all the people that acted as parents have died.

It should be noted that the singer is also going through hard times as a single mother to her one-year-old daughter.

Each group was given 50 chicken as start-up capital in their journey to prosperity. Read what some leaders said; Ms Naigambi Lydia from Nawandala Trading Centre says, “They solicited money from us through opening bank accounts and depositing Shs80,000. They also asked for land titles and land agreements from us yet we don’t have such things. I was informed that I needed to have a business with a capital of Shs4m yet my capital was very small.” The chairperson Kisoboka Saving Group in Nawandala Ms. Nakagolo Faith said they were not able to join the program. This is given the many conditions attached. She also asked their woman MP to raise their concerns to the relevant offices. The MP condemned the mode of implementation of the program. She cited that it has turned to benefit the well-off class of women other than the intended group. She further asked the government to intervene saying the current strings attached to the programme are very tight to accommodate a common woman. GROW project is a Government of Uganda initiative that arose out of the need to respond to the needs of women entrepreneurs. This is especially those who want to grow their businesses, sustain their self-employment and create more jobs.
