Grenade Official Asks Gov’t To Ban International Musicians From Performing In Uganda

Singer Grenade Official has asked the government of Uganda to ban international musicians from performing in Uganda. He said they are not special like people make them look and again they put down Uganda’s music industry.

Different international musicians come to perform in Uganda. Most of their shows are very expensive but still Ugandans attend in big numbers.

However, there are shows that are organized by Ugandan artists and people don’t even bother to attend. The shows flop completely with a few fans at the venue.

According to Grenade, the reason why these shows flop is because they are often compared to international artistes. He said if these international artistes are banned from coming to Uganda, there will be no comparison and people will just attend concerts.

The singer said for the love of Ugandan music, government needs to do something when it comes to international artists coming to perform.

He even said most Ugandan singers are much better than international singers. However, because they are not from Uganda, people get excited.

“As a Ugandan musician, I would like to ask government to ban international musicians from coming to perform in Uganda. They have led to the downfall of the music industry. People take them to be special but they are not that special,” he said.
