Francis Zaake: I'm Usually Judged Wrongly In Accordance To My Beliefs

How Come It Was Easy For Parliament To Censor Zaake And Not Jim Muhwezi?

Parliament yesterday signed in the form to censor Zaake out of a parliament commissioner position. 155 signatures were on the form that determined this decision.

Zaake was sent parking because of apparently using vulgar language against the Deputy Speaker. However, sources say it is the Deputy Speaker that provoked Zaake which forced him to retaliate in defense.

Meanwhile, the ease with which this was carried out was amazing. MPs dragged their feet when it came to Jim Muhwezi and yet his case was even more alarming.

Many accused Jim Muhwezi of staying quiet when torture was going on in the country and yet he is in position to do something. Being the Minister of Security, parliamentarians thought he should have stopped the torture against opposition members in jail.

Unlike Zaake, nothing has happened to Jim Muhwezi.

Was it that the legislators didn’t find the need to censor him? Was it negligible? One could guess a lot of things but we definitely can’t deny the fact that some people simply shied away from this motion for their own reasons.

On top of removing Zaake as Parliament commissioner, they also commanded him to apologize to the Deputy Speaker in a period of one week.

Whether he will do it or not, w are not sure. The MP has not yet reacted regarding what happened to him but he definitely will. This censorship happened on Thursday evening.

Ssegirinya and Ssewanyana

In another story earlier published by NEWSLEXPOINT.com, Hon Mohammed Ssegirinya’s mother stormed parliament for the second time demanding the release of her son. Ms. Nakajumba walked to parliament demanding the freedom of Ssegirinya who was incarcerated in Kitalya prison since last year.

Ssegirinya has been under arrest since September 2021 with his counterpart Allan Ssewanyana. The two are facing charges of murder, terrorism, aiding, and abetting terrorism.
