The most reliable Information and Communications Technology service provider, Huawei has managed to register almost 800 Information Technology students from different Institutions and Universities in Uganda. Registration of these students took place between 17th and 18th of September.

Among the Universities that were registered include Makerere, Kyambogo, Gulu, Busitema and more around the country.
Huawei introduced ICT competitions.
Indeed with a combined theme “Connection • Glory • Future”, these Global ICT skills competitions aims at accessing a platform for global ICT skilled personnel to participate in these competitions, communicate and promote good standard ICT talent development.
However, all registered students are supposed to have learning requirements in different course units and given freely of charge. Among these materials include Data Centres, Cloud computing, Network only to mention.
To add on the list, these students will still be granted more tools, online mock tests and written examinations for the top 100. Only 3 will be counted out to represent Uganda in the regional finals in December, South Africa and finals will be China in April next year.
But while interviewing one of the Makerere University student called Kidega Moses, who does Software engineering, he thanked Huawei Uganda for the great free chance given to the Makerere dudes to learn and to compete with other students.
