I’m Pleased With How You Have Managed To Unite MPs – Former Vice President To Speaker Among

Former Vice President, Edward Ssekandi, has commended Speaker Anita Among for uniting MPs. The former Vice President said Among has managed business in the house ever since they elected her Speaker.

He said this while he was meeting her in her office on Monday afternoon.

“I am pleased with how you have managed to unite MPs to deliver on their mandate and I will continue supporting and praying for you,” Ssekandi said.

Anita Among replaced the late Speaker Jacob Oulanyah who had mission to unite MPs no matter the party. This is probably the footprints she is walking in because so far, comments around her work are only good.

She has exceeded the expectations of many who thought she was not going to do that much of a good job. Her deputy, Thomas Tayebwa and her have represented the Parliament well in their first year.

However, Speaker Among also appreciated the former Vice President for keeping a close relationship with the current Parliament.

“I was honoured by a courtesy call from our elder, mentor, and former VP His Excellency Ssekandi in my office. I always value his wise counsel and appreciate his confidence in our leadership.” Among said.
