I’m The One Who Brought Zari From The Village To Kampala – Rasta Rob MC

Veteran singer and radio presenter Rasta Rob MC real name Robert Ogwal has opened up about the famous Ugandan socialite Zari the bosslady before fame.

He said he is the person that got her out of the village in Jinja to Kampala when no one knew anything about her.

Zari the got famous after dating city tycoon the late Ivan Semwanga. The two had relocated to South Africa where they built a home, business and had children. Years down, the two separated.

The socialite went ahead to date Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz who made her more famous in East Africa. Ever since then, she has been on top of her socialite and influencing careers.

She rarely talks about her past before fame. In all the interviews Zari has had, she has never talked about knowing or even dating singer Rasta Rob MC.

However, Rasta Rob MC in his interview said Zari knows so well and remembers everything in their relationship. He said someone who helped her get out of the village can’t be easily forgotten.

“Zari Hassan was my girlfriend back in the days. I was the person who got her out of Jinja to Kampala, and we spent almost 2 years together. However, with time, she got attached to other circles, and we parted ways,” he said on the NTV morning program Mwasuze Mutya.
