I’m Under Pressure To Come Back To Politics – Amelia Kyambadde

Former Mawokota North MP, Amelia Kyambadde, has said some people have been putting her on pressure to come back to politics. However, she says this is not the only job there is plus she has other aspirations.

“I am under a lot of pressure to come back to politics but politics is not the only job, I want to go into entrepreneurship and do my Ph.D. as well. I have other aspirations. Politics is just a game, not very clean. When I look at my area, I did everything. What more am I going to add? You can’t say you are the only one, the alpha and omega.”

Amelia commented about her former constituency and said the current leader behaves like he knows it all. She says she has really tried to engage him but it has not been easy.

Mawokota is currently under Hon. Hilary Kiyaga alias Dr. Hilderman. The two used to be very good friends until Hilderman started contesting for Amelia’s position which he got.

“There is someone in the constituency (Mawokota North) now. Unfortunately he hasn’t reached out. I had extended an olive branch to him, but the unfortunate thing is he is not responsive. He thinks he knows it all,” Amelia Kyambadde said.

She said she has been in hibernation and she is now officially back on the scene to run her life as usual. She says it was so hard at first to imagine not being a minister but she has now come to terms with it.
