I Didn’t Get The Money You Promised Me – Emmanuel Lwasa Tells President Museveni

Masaka businessman Emmanuel Lwasa is seeking money that President Museveni promised him when he had problems. He said that he doesn’t know what exactly happened but the money didn’t reach his bank account.

Sometime earlier this year, Lwasa spoke about his struggles with finances. He said that his businesses were no longer making money and that loans were accumulating day by day. He got to the point of losing one of his big buildings in Masaka to the banks that were demanding him.

The businessman cried out to many rich people and even politicians to help him pay back the loans. President Museveni is among the people he cried to, after all, he is a very good supporter of his NRM political party.

According to Lwasa, when he talked with some people that are close to President Museveni, they told him that he was going to give him money.

However, with time, they all stopped communicating. Ever since then, he has never got any money from him or even heard of any updates about that money.

“I would like to inform President Museveni that I have never received the money that he promised me some time back to pay off my loan. I don’t know what exactly happened but I have never received anything or even heard anything from him since then,” he said.

Lwasa added that he is slowly paying off the loan but still needs some help to complete the payments.
