I Don’t Believe In TikTok Created Musicians – A Pass

Singer and songwriter Bagonza Alexander famously known as A Pass has revealed that he doesn’t believe in artists created by TikTok. In Uganda, a new generation of musicians has taken the music industry at a very high speed.

Some of those artists started their fame on TikTok and the media picked them up from there.

Those musicians are Alien Skin of Sitya Danger song, Planet Omutume of ‘Chai Wenjaaye’ and many other trending ones. This has left the older musicians struggling to keep it together and fight for their positions in the music industry at the moment.

A Pass is one of the artists that took a break from the music industry for three years. However, on his return, he said he has been watching over the industry and TikTok Created musicians are not talented.

According to the singer, there is a way tiktokers hype a musician and like any other social media app, when something new comes up they forget the old ones.

A Pass said no Tiktok musician will sustain their fame in the music industry. They will always be one-hit wonders and people will even forget about them so fast.

“I haven’t been releasing new music for three years and that’s the decision I made as a person. But I have been watching from a distance how our music industry is going. To my observation artists created from TikTok are destroying the industry. They are hyped and a few months they are not heard anymore,” A Pass said.
