Musician Priscilla Zawedde also known as Azawi has taken to social media platform X to express her dissatisfaction with President Museveni. She told the President that she hopes it won’t be too late before he decides to listen to the problems of the youth.
This comes after the President took to different media platforms to warn all the youths out there planning to walk to Parliament on the 23rd tomorrow to protest the massive corruption in the country. Museveni warned the youth that they are playing with fire.
He advised them to join Col Edith Nakalema who was once the head of the Statehouse Anti-Corruption Unit if they want to fight corruption.
According to the President, there is no viable reason for sending these youths into protests. Apparently, these protests will hurt other people’s businesses and lives.
Since then all security agencies in different parts of the country have been put on high alert. They were advised to be ready to avert any disruptive situation using all means available.
However, musician Azawi said that the President has adamantly refused to work on the problems affecting the majority of the population.
“You’ve arrogantly refused to work on the issues affecting almost 78% of this population. You’re even willing to hurt any “Nakasatwe” that expresses their dissatisfaction with tear gas and canes. I hope it won’t be too late when you eventually decide to listen to us!!”
