I Want To Be Close To Everyone In Opposition, Not Just Bobi Wine – Dr. Kizza Besigye

Former FDC party president Dr. Kizza Besigye has refuted claims of being very close to National Unity Platform (NUP) president Bobi Wine real name Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.

He said he wants to be close to everyone despite the political party they are in as long as they want to get out of captivity.

Besigye is one of the most influential figures in the opposition political parties. He has been harassed, arrested and denied freedom at some point. But he has kept on fighting for the same thing which is to get President Museveni the current president from leadership.

He was joined by Bobi Wine who has also tried to fight his way to the presidential seat. Both being strong people, they have become close friends.

However, Dr Besigye revealed that he is not purposely close to Bobi Wine only. He said he would like to be close to everyone who is in captivity like him.

The outspoken politician revealed that some people have said words to divide the opposition but he doesn’t want it to work like that.

“It’s not true that I am just close to HE Bobi Wine. I want to be close to everyone, in the situation of captivity, everyone, no matter the party. The only thing that can bring us out of captivity is unity,” he said.
