Hon. Solomon Silwany, the Bukooli County Central MP, has rendered his thanks to the people of Omoro for rejecting NUP. According to him, the NUP candidate has nothing to offer in terms of service to the people of Omoro.
“I was in Omoro for one week and a half. I want to thank the people of Omoro for rejecting the NUP candidate because he had nothing to offer. NRM fronted the right candidate Andrew Ojok Oulanyah who had something to offer the people.”
According to him, in terms of security, there was nothing to worry about in terms of security as NUP makes it look. He says Bobi Wine was left to move freely when he showed up in Omoro.
“There was no scuffle in Omoro, even when Hon. Kyagulanyi came, the police left him to campaign throughout the county.”
Solomon Silwany said NUP can’t blame security for their loss yet at some polling stations they got zero.
“I am not a police officer, nor do I speak for the police, so I can’t talk about the people who were arrested. Most of the NUP agents were from Kampala. They didn’t vote. At some polling stations, their party got zero.”
Some of the members of the public too say NUP is only spreading the military gospel to get attention.
“I think the NUP guy should be honest. It is wrong when he said all the polling stations were condoned by the army. As NBS tv, you were on ground reporting all the events live and we did not see any army man there. The total voters expected were 84000 plus,” a one Okello Walter said.
