Sensational vocalist, Naava Grey told her fans she wrote one of her major love hits while nursing a broken heart. Ninga Omuloge, the title of her song was topping charts in 2013 and some good years after that.

Listening to this song, you would think, Naava was in a very beautiful relationship with someone. The lyrics suggest a very romantic love affair going on but sadly this wasn’t the fact of the matter.

She confessed that she penned down this song wanting to feel warm amidst her heart wreck that she was nursing at that time. Who would think so?

“Most of you loved this song and you think that I was in love when I wrote it. I was busy nursing a heart break in this cold apartment. I wanted to feel warm. So I penned down Ninga Omuloge” she said

Naava Grey disclosed that she actually writes her own songs. For her, it’s an achievement because apparently the industry is so full of exploitors.

She said if you can’t write, it’s even harder to make it through the music industry because everyone will bring in writings convincing you to take it in. She admitted that it was indeed not easy breaking through because of gender and many other reasons.

The beautiful vocalist went personal and shared about her family background. She is the last born of her mum who died in May this year. She came from a Muslim family which came with its own trouble in regard to polygamy.

Naava shared all this during her session with Tusker Malt Conversessions. She obviously didn’t disappoint with her amazing vocals on this show.
