The most annoying thing, at least as expressed by the public, is that they gave the Zaake issue priority yet the country has more serious issues to deal with.
For this reason, Hon. Mbwatekamwa said he is afraid to be identified as an MP.
“I even do fear saying I am a Member of Parliament. An issue like Zaake’s is more important than issues of national importance like the escalating prices of commodities.”
He said if they do nothing about the escalating fuel prices, things are going to get worse. Apparently, the high fuel prices are the reason why the country is having prices of commodities going up by the day.
However, Mbwatekamwa says MPs are not bothered because they have fuel cards.
“Our economy is dependent on fuel. We are yet to see the worst if nothing is done about the fuel prices. The leaders haven’t cared for this country because they have fuel cards.”
He however says, there is a possibility people are hoarding goods just to make more profits in this season which too has to be looked into.
“I have a feeling Ugandans have started hoarding these commodities because the government doesn’t care.”
