Ingrid was cornered by police and grabbed for reportedly distributing red ribbons to supporters to engage in the “red ribbon campaign” Tuesday.

At the close of last month, Ingrid was arrested twice and rushed to Naggalama police station in Mukono district.

She was first arrested at miniprice in down town Kampala while making her way to parliament to protest the age limit bill.

She was then cornered by police in Mbarara town in the same campaign and driven back to Kampala after which she was arrested along with Margaret Wokuri Madanda as police searched for former presidential candidate, Kizza Besigye.

Ingrid is part of opposition members who have embraced Besigye’s new civil disobedience protests. Another such member is Buhweju County MP Francis Mwijukye.
