Thorough Investigations About Bomb Blasts Should Be Carried Out Before It’s Pinned On NUP – Rubogoya

The Secretary-General of NUP has said police should carry out thorough investigations lest it’s pinned on NUP. He expressed fear that they may start arresting their party members accusing them of the same.

David Lewis Rubongoya said this while speaking to the Media. He noted that already they have started connecting this bomb blast to them.

“One of the eyewitness accounts from the scene (at Komamboga on Saturday) alleged that some people were dressed in People Power attire before the explosion, this is all politics,” Rubongoya said.

Rubogoya said just last week someone ran to their offices and confessed that some people wanted to pay him to frame Kyagulanyi. Apparently, someone is after the opposition.

“Just last week, a truck driver came to our office and said that someone offered him money to accept to be given guns and explosives so that when he is arrested, he would confess on TV that Honourable Kyagulanyi gave them to him. We know that the regime will want to use this to arrest politicians,” Rubongoya said.

NUP Spokesperson, Joel Senyonyi said if the police really need to find the perpetrators, then they will. Otherwise, he says it shouldn’t be hard at all.

“If police and other investigating bodies are serious about carrying out investigations, it is not complicated,” Ssenyonyi said
