Iryn Namubiru Opens Up On Plans To Retire From Music

Talented singer Iryn Namubiru has opened up on plans to retire from music. She said people need to understand that musicians are not footballers who retire because of age.

They can sing until they decide that they are no longer interested.

Namubiru has been in the music industry for more than 15 years. A few years ago, she stopped releasing music but still, her songs were getting airplay. She said her songs don’t have expiry dates.

She says she made sure that they are lyrically strong and even after so many years they still sound like they have just been released.

According to the singer, so many people have asked her about her retirement and what she thinks about it. She said she knows that she is always moving from one place to another for her family.

However, she will always have time for music and she doesn’t have plans to retire.

The talented singer said her voice will determine her retirement. If it is strong, she will sing until her last breath.

She stated below;

“People always ask about my retirement from music but musicians are not like footballers who retire because of age. My voice will determine my retirement but if it is still strong I will sing until I die,”’

It should be noted that the singer is living between Kampala and Paris. She left for France several years ago and this can probably explain why her music career stagnated.

She has not released a new song for years the concert she is holding will probably have her nearly 2 decades old songs on repeat.
