Like any other person, we would honestly live to understand what’s with the number 70.
We understand the need for social distance and keeping numbers as limited as possible especially in church and political rallies. People can surely be unruly and if there is no limitation it could get ugly.
Why the number 70 though? Has research been made enough to know that at least when people are 70, health guidelines will be followed? Was it just a random number that they decide could work?
Honestly speaking this number is only realistic to those it will help. Basing restrictions on numbers is very unreasonable for, perhaps doing it in accordance to space would be better. For example if rallies will be in a place like a stadium, 70 is like a drop in the ocean.
Politicians already came out to express their dismay in regard to this number.
We can vividly say that government made no research before making these decisions. This is so because the inter-religious council members actually said 100 people per service but to their surprise, the president announced as the number.
This issue should be looked into much as we have coronavirus to defeat.
