It’s Too Early To Judge Kenzo – Mikie Wine Tells Fellow Artistes

Singer and the young brother to Bobi Wine, Mikie Wine real name Mukwaya Mike, has revealed he is not against Eddy Kenzo’s appointment as a presidential advisor.

He said that there are reasons why he is the one that was chosen out of the many although people are judging him left and right.

The singer said that it is too early to judge him as he hasn’t even spent weeks in office. Musicians haven’t seen what he can and can’t do. Kenzo started his leadership journey last year when he appointed himself the president of musicians under the Ugandan National Musicians Federation (UNMF).

In the beginning, so many artists especially those from UMA were skeptical of what he can do. They even accused him of stealing their ideas.

The BET Award winner turned a deaf ear and went ahead with the leadership of which he and his team have been meeting different government officials to discuss the copyright law.

Musicians who support the opposition claim that he is looking for money for himself. However, Mikie Wine disagrees and says they should give him time.

“I think Eddy Kenzo is a good leader. I for sure don’t know why people are criticizing him yet I know he will make the right thing. It is too early to judge him, us musicians should give him time and see how far he can go,” he said.

It should be noted that Mikie Wine recently also made a statement that seemed quite awkward. He said he can uninvite his elder brother Bobi Wine from his concert if the fans don’t want him there. Many have already termed these kinds of statements as just trying to attract attention.
