Jinja Referral Hospital Staff On Sit Down Strike

News coming from Jinja apparently indicates that the hospital staff has gone on a sitdown strike. The reason behind the strike is apparently their unhappiness with the hospital director’s continued stay in office despite her retirement.

Dr. Florence Tugumisirize, the hospital director already retired in December 2021. Consequently, the hospital staff expected her to vacate the hospital administration then but she didn’t.

Last week, the office of the Inspectorate of Government gave Dr. Florence a ten days grace period to hand over the office to the new administrator.
