Joe Biden Drops Out, Nominates Kamala Harris For President

The President of United States Joe Biden has dropped out of the race to seek re-election as President for the second term. In a statement issued on social media, Mr Biden said he is focusing on his duties for the remaining months in office.

He also stated that he knows he has made the right decision to refuse the nomination.

According to Mr Biden, his first job as the president was to choose Kamala Harris as his vice president. He said he achieved that and is proud of what he did.

He therefore nominating his vice president V.P Harris as the party nominee in this years elections.

Donald Trump served as President for four years before Joe Biden. Biden came, contested against him and won. Trump came back and has been on the campaign trail.

A few weeks ago, he went head-on again Joe Biden in a televised debate. This is what many consider to have sealed Biden’s fate as a doomed candidate.

“My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this,”
